Julee Hightower Ryle received a BFA from Pratt in 2002, focusing on painting and sculpture. After graduating Julee worked in NYC as an artist assistant and in messy fine arts jobs involving ceramics, bronze, metalsmithing, moldmaking, casting, plastics, sculpture fabrication, film sets and smashing things with a forklift.
Julee left the art world to start a family, having 5 babies in 7 years. After fully immersing herself in the world of stay at home moms, she returned to her own painting practice through the lens of mom life. She lives with her family in Walla Walla, WA.
